You will find antique cupboards, chests of drawers, chests, tables, seating, bed frames, doors, home accessories and, last but not least, antique objects. We specialize in restoring furniture and components according to traditional craftsmanship. We attach particular importance to the fact that the revision encompasses both the exterior and the interior of the furniture so that it can also withstand the requirements of everyday use.
We are also happy to produce new furniture such as tables and chairs. The focus is on the customer's individual ideas. Either in accordance with the modern zeitgeist, possibly combined with metal, timelessly beautiful or period furniture based on antique models and patterns. On request, we use antique wood and can access a rich stock of antique parts such as. B. table legs, cabinet feet, drawers, table tops.

Company history

1905 
The company was founded by Andreas Weiß. The master carpenter set up a joinery and a shop. From the beginning, the work of the Weiß company was not limited to the carpentry business, but also lived through the trade in antique, restored furniture.

Andreas Weiß died. The company was taken over by his then 28-year-old son, Johann Peter Weiß, also a master carpenter and already well established in the business.


1948 
After the 2nd world war the trade with antiques was expanded.

1954
More space was needed for the shop and the workshop was moved to the adjacent large barn. The boss died in 1967 and his son, Johann Peter Weiß, was a carpenter by profession and a trained interior designer. He was employed in Munich at that time. He came back to Rothenburg and took over the company like his father had done before. The company benefited greatly from his vocational training. Also orders like hotel interiors and antique interior design could be created. However, with time the workshop could no longer meet the requirements. A new building was planned.

1983 
The company was able to move into the new workshop hall at Erlbacher Straße 96. It was time to spread the responsibility over several shoulders. Son, Andreas Peter Weiß, an experienced carpenter, joined the family business from now on.

2005 
Peter Weiß takes his well-deserved retirement and hands over the family business to his son Andreas Weiß.
